ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Pepi Martin (née Peproneh Iltchibekian) was born in Tabriz, Iran. She came to Cyprus in 1998 with her family: at first expecting to stay for two years, in fact Limassol has become her adopted home. There were also two five year periods living in Abu Dhabi and Doha, returning to Cyprus in August 2016. In Cyprus, she attended Ms Helene Black’s art studio and ArteMisiA Salon of the Artists under Ms Marilena Aristotelous’ tutelage. In Abu Dhabi she attended the Cultural Foundation’s Art Workshop; the tutor there, Ms Ufuk Kobas, introduced Pepi to texturing, encouraged her to work freely and guided her on techniques for collage. In Qatar she set up her own studio and worked independently and diligently in what was rather an isolated environment. From a young age Pepi has loved painting and pays great attention to details. She works mostly in acrylic and occasionally pencil, charcoal, pastel and watercolour. Pepi’s paintings are in private collections in Cyprus, England, Lebanon, Qatar, Russia, the UAE and the USA.
